Stained glass courses and painted glass courses run throughout the year; each class is run from Frit and Flux, 17 Murray Street, Montrose, DD10 8LH with a maximum of six students ensuring that each student receives individual attention. Each student has use of a workbench with all the tools and equipment they will need while taking part in the course. All materials are included for the first project. (please note that students will have to purchase their own materials for individual projects and some supplies can be purchased from Di)

Tiffany stained glass
​

​
Price: £180
​
This is a four session course for beginners as well as the more advanced student; the workshop is run with a maximum of six students ensuring that each receives individual attention.
You will make a Tiffany stained glass window hanging, you will have the choice of a number of different patterns to choose from. Each window hanging measures approximately 17cm x 17cm or 20cm x 12cm.
Each student has use of a workstation with all the tools and equipment they will need while taking part in the workshop.
What's included in the price?
All materials such as glass, copper foil and solder are provided at no extra cost. Any materials for a second piece of work will be charged for.

• It is recommended that you bring reading glasses for close work if required.
• Please wear sensible shoes (no open toed shoes) when attending the workshop.
• It is also recommended that you wear old clothes.
Classes will run with a minimum of three and maxium of six students.

Tiffany stained glass - single session

This single session is an introduction to Tiffany stained glass where​​​ y​​ou will make a simple window hanging from a choice of a choice of different patterns to choose from. Each window hanging measures approximately 10x10cm.
What's included in the price?
All materials such as glass, copper foil and solder are provided at no extra cost.

• It is recommended that you bring reading glasses for close work if required.
• Please wear sensible shoes (no open toed shoes) when attending the workshop.
• It is also recommended that you wear old clothes.
Classes will run with a minimum of three and maxium of six students.

Leaded stained glass

Price: £200
This is a group of four sessions where you will make a traditional lead stained glass window hanging, you will again have the choice of a number of different patterns to choose from . Each window hanging measures approximately 17cm x 17cm or 20cm x 12cm.

• Please wear sensible shoes (no open toed shoes) when attending the workshop.
• It is also recommended that you wear old clothes.
• This course involves working with lead, for safety reasons it is recommends that pregnant women do not attend.

Traditional Painted glass

This is a a two part course where you will learn all the basic skills needed to paint a piece of stained glass in one colour. You will have the opportunity to make two or three painted pieces (depending on size and difficulty) of glass adopting the the skills used in the time honoured tradition.
What's included in the price?
All materials such as paint and glass, as well as the firing of your piece are provided at no extra cost. As your painted glass will need to be fired you will not to be able to take it home with you at the end of the class. You will be notified when it is ready for collection - which can be up to a week after your final session. If you are unable to collect your piece in person it can be sent to you for the cost of postage; however, this is at your own risk as glass cannot be insured for postage.

You will have the opportunity to make two or three painted pieces (depending on size and difficulty) of glass adopting the the skills used in the time honoured tradition.

This is a single session where you will learn all the basic skills needed to create a piece of stained glass using the one fire method. You will have the opportunity to make two to four coasters (depending on the complexitiy of your design) or one larger more complex piece of glass adopting the skills used in the time honoured tradition..

Halloween Workshop​​​​

This is a three hour Halloween workshop where you will make a themed small fused glass piece as well as a small tiffany piece and will have the choice of different patterns to choose from.

As your fused glass will need to be fired you will not to be able to take it home with you at the end of the class. This is a one day Christmas decoration Tiffany stained glass workshop based in Frit and Flux, 17 Murray Street, Montrose, DD10 8LH. This workshop is for beginners as well as the more advanced student; this workshop is run with a maximum of six students ensuring that each student receives individual attention. Bespoke Workshops
Bespoke one or two day workshops are available for groups and corporate parties. You can book a workshop for special occasions such as birthdays, hen parties or as a team building exercise.
